Late/Homework Policy

Late Work:

Meeting deadlines is crucial!

  • Any assignment turned in one day late will automatically lose 15 points.
  • Anytime after that it will be 50 points off.
  • If you don't have your work when it is due, you will have lunch detention that day.
  • Late work must be turned in during the same 9 weeks it was assigned.

Absent Work:

  •  In the case of an excused absence, you will have the number of days absent to turn in your work.
  • Make sure you check the agenda for what you missed.
  • Look for extra worksheets in the "While You Were Gone Box."

Redo Work:

Re-do work is accepted.

  • I will always allow a student the opportunity to correct their mistakes to better themselves.
  • I will average the original grade with the new grade. That average will go in the gradebook.
  •  Must be turned in during the same 9 weeks it was assigned.

Grading Scale:

100-90% = A;        89-80% = B;        79-70% = C;        69-60% = D;        59% and below = F

  • I use a point system in my gradebook.
  • Each assignment will be worth a different number of points, based on difficulty and number of problems.
  • I grade projects using a rubric and will give students a copy of the rubric when I assign the project.
  • I keep grades on my computer.
  • You can access your child’s grades by signing up for Parent Portal in the office.
